Braunton Caen Rotary is committed in its work to help eradicate Polio from this world, and we have come up with a fun way of exploring Braunton and discovering the five Lady Chapels within the village to raise some funds for this campaign.

Below you will find five different routes explaining the way to get to each chapel site, and on your way you will learn interesting facts as you pass by. On arriving at each location there will be a small box and in it will be a wooden token. Take one token and return it to the Countryside Centre or Braunton Museum where you will receive a card to be stamped after each walk. Try and get all five chapels stamped.

Rotary's top humanitarian goal since 1985 has been to rid the world of polio. At that time there were over 1,000 polio cases a day. Polio has nearly been eradicated from this world, with just two countries classed as polio-endemic. Failure to eradicate polio could lead to 200,000 cases worldwide every year.
