in the community
and
around the world
Braunton Caen was formed in 2010 by a group of Rotarians who wanted to meet in the evening away from the traditional format of Rotary. Our main aim is fun and fellowship whilst doing some good locally in the community and around the world.
As a group we are always looking for people to join us. We have thrown the rule book away and just aim to give that bit back whilst having fun.
Rotary is the largest service organisation in the world. Whilst Rotary International is the overall governing body, in Great Britain we have RIBI Rotary in Britain and Ireland overseeing the organisational work we do.

Our annual Charity Car Tour takes place in the Spring. The event is open to all vehicles, of any age, and is an eighty mile tour of Devon’s spectacular countryside. A route map, breakfast and cream tea are included in the entrance fee.
This is a fundraiser and we seek support from the local business community to ensure as much as possible can be donated to our chosen charities. There is a fun quiz along the route and a raffle drawn at the end.
Always popular, come and join us today!

This is an annual award from Braunton Caen Rotary in memory of Rotarian Peter Kingdon who died in 2020. It is designed to recognise the contribution by young people in improving the lives of those living in the area. The award could be to recognise young people’s achievements not only within a variety of community settings that take place outside their school time such as volunteering, youth work, active citizenship, sports, drama, music, etc but also significant achievements that take place within their school time, as part of their school curriculum.
In exceptional circumstances the award may be given to a group of young persons who by virtue of a project which they have planned and executed themselves, have made a substantial and major contribution to local people and the local community.
The award will be made each year in May
